Purse Challenge

Sooke District Lioness Lions-2

Our club of 19 issued a challenge to each other to collect our gently used purses, fill them with toiletries and donate them to the local Transition House, a home for battered women.

Word quickly spread throughout our community of 13,000 and by our deadline date we had well over 50 purses and colorful bags (many were in fact brand new) filled to the brim!

The home gratefully accepted them and a few were also given to our Sooke Food Bank for women in need.

The donation was presented by Club President Jackie Lawrence and received by Diona Davies from Sooke Transition House.

EASY. May include another club or organization.

CHALLENGES:
None. This challenge went beyond our expectations.
