Kindness in Action
Lions Club International is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917. The mission of this global organization is to promote the principles of good government and good citizenship through kindness in action. Members are known as Lions who uphold the ideal of serving to those in need without regard to politics, religion, race or personal interests.
Today there are 48,000 clubs around the world with 1.4 million members dedicated to helping others and making their local communities better.
The Lynn Valley Lions Club is one of these many clubs and was chartered on Oct. 27, 1970. Our 21 member club is dedicated to the mission of Lions Club International as we join the global effort in giving our valuable time and effort to improving our community. Since inception, our club has continued to be a community focused organization that has significantly contributed to local groups, residents, charities, schools and more.
We have one important goal that drive all of our actions, events, fundraisers and activities: To serve and help others in need.
